Mona was built for the entrepreneurs who light up our communities.

Mona was created at Stanford to ensure access to capital for small-business entrepreneurs. Our services are open to all entrepreneurs, and our emphasis is on fueling the dreams of communities with limited access to financial resources.

$1 million+ in loans & grants distributed

We have connected 100+ entrepreneurs to $1 million+ in affordable-rate loans and grants. Among this group, 80% said they could not have gotten a loan elsewhere. All U.S. small business owners are eligible.

Access to capital initiative in South Side Chicago

Mona recently partnered with Kiva and the University of Chicago’s Polsky Center to distribute $200k+ in zero-interest loans, primarily in Chicago’s historic South Side neighborhood.

Supporting immigrant & refugee entrepreneurs in Maine

Mona’s partnership with the Immigrant Welcoming Center of Greater Portland has reached 30+ entrepreneurs from 20+ nations.

Fueling product investments

Through our innovative gifting brands, we proudly support our entrepreneurs by making significant product investments. Our collaborations with talented, underrepresented creators bring handcrafted, high-quality cultural products to subscribers.

Designing for impact

Our award-winning design studio transforms your digital presence through exceptional brand and website design. Access the expertise of a world-class chief designer tailored to your company’s needs. For every project we do, we build one pro bono or highly subsidized website for a low-income entrepreneur.
